TSTradeshift has hired tech PR agency EML Wildfire to build awareness of the start-up amongst the tech community and grow its user base.

The tech PR agency will work closely with the company’s marketing team based in Copenhagen and San Francisco to implement global tech PR campaigns that will resonate with key audiences.

Launched in May 2010, Tradeshift connects businesses on a secure online network to help them work collaboratively and manage tasks such as invoicing and cash flow. It already has 70,000 companies across 190 countries. Tradeshift recently received $17m in VC funding from ru-Net and Kite Ventures that values the company at $137m. EML Wildfire will run a series of B2B campaigns aimed at SME and enterprise audiences with a particular focus on social media and community building to support future investment and company growth.

Renette Youssef, Chief Marketing Officer at Tradeshift said: “EML Wildfire really stood out with ideas that we feel will propel us to new heights. The agency understands the way PR is changing and demonstrated both skill and expertise in devising an innovative programme that will allow us to make the most of all the channels at our disposal to build awareness of the brand and grow our user base.”

Debby Penton, Director at EML Wildfire said: “We have a wealth of experience working with start-up tech companies and always relish the opportunity to work with a business that is looking to disrupt its marketplace. The programme we have put together for Tradeshift really stretches the boundaries of what many in the PR industry are doing at the moment and we’re looking forward to developing campaigns that generate buzz and mindshare.”
