Has Google’s Street View come to a road near you? Did you think that you would be exempt from the intrusion because you lived in a fairly inaccessible place that they would not be interested in?

Think again.

Google are resorting to a man on a tricycle to get where cars cannot reach.  They will be visiting stately homes, sports stadiums and along narrow lanes and paths where 4x4s cannot go.  Forgive me but I thought that was the whole point of a 4×4 – that it could take you anywhere.

So, when you are having a quiet picnic in the grounds of a historic house this summer, watch out for the man on the rickshaw.
