Cello Electronics hires Wildfire to raise brand awareness in the UK

Posted by Alex Warren on 2nd August 2017

British TV manufacturer, Cello, has appointed technology PR agency, Wildfire to raise its profile in the UK market and drive awareness of its broad product range: from 16” solar and battery powered travel TVs to 85” Smart Android LEDs.

Cello has the largest range of LED TVs of any other brand on the market, with 14 screen sizes and 28 models. Cello manufactures and ships all finished products from its factory in County Durham. In addition to hiring Wildfire for PR and social, this UK owned business is also investing heavily in cinema advertising and sponsorship in 2017 to build a consumer brand.

Through introducing a busy product review programme, Wildfire will build consumer awareness for Cello as well as valuable independent endorsement to support sales. By coupling these proof points with thought leadership and profile raising activity, Wildfire will also help forge commercial relationships with retail and distribution partners.

Brian Palmer, CEO at Cello Electronics, commented: “Wildfire demonstrated a deep understanding of our target audience and brought us new insight into how we can capitalise on consumer purchasing habits. The team also showed strong media relationships in both consumer and trade publications. But ultimately it was the chemistry with the team and organisational fit that led us to choose Wildfire to help us on our journey to build a consumer brand in the UK.”

Debby Penton, Managing Director at Wildfire, added: “Cello is much more than a “me-too” affordable TV company, it has the most impressive product range on the market supporting some exciting niche segments and technology “firsts” that large global manufacturers miss out on. This fantastic UK run business is a true British success story, and one we’re really excited about telling.”
