Ubuntu promotes its OS for wearables and the IoT
A household name in desktop and mobile operating systems, Ubuntu had big plans for the growing Internet of Things (IoT) space. Approaching Wildfire with a brief to launch its new IoT OS, Ubuntu needed to shift analyst perceptions from mobile to IoT, boost awareness, and drive downloads.
Mobile World Congress (MWC) provided the ideal platform. To set the stage, Wildfire organised Ubuntu’s first ever analyst day, securing pre-event briefings with more than 50 analysts and industry insiders. Next up, MWC itself. With on-stand robots showcasing Ubuntu in action, Wildfire offered journalists an eye-catching photo at the Ubuntu stand. Supported with a packed three-day media interview schedule, Ubuntu became the most talked about brand at the 24,000-exhibitor show.
