Poly’s lunar relaunch takes flight
The 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing was perfect timing when comms giants Polycom and Plantronics merged to become ‘Poly’. Neil Armstrong’s famous words “that’s one small step for man…” were transmitted through a Plantronics headset, giving Wildfire the perfect news hook to launch the new brand.
To take advantage of this historic event, Wildfire organised a space-inspired experience at the Science Museum. Complete with VIP guest speakers and an exclusive exhibit of the headset worn by the Apollo 11 crew, the event drew journalists from across national and tech media. The result? Poly’s rebrand hit the media spotlight, creating a launch pad for the brand’s next ‘giant leap’ in tech innovation.
