One giant leap for Poly’s rebrand
The 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing was fortuitous timing when tech giants Plantronics and Polycom became Poly. Neil Armstrong’s famous words — “that’s one small step for man…” — were transmitted through a Plantronics headset, giving us the media hook we needed to launch the new brand.
We made the stars align, with a space-inspired experience at the Science Museum, VIP guest speaker and an exclusive exhibit of the microphone and “snoopy” cap worn by the Apollo 11 crew. Our event put Poly in the media spotlight, creating a launchpad for the brand’s next ‘giant leap’ in tech innovation.
