Team Consulting, the multi-award winning medical device design and development specialist, has appointed technology PR agency EML Wildfire to increase global awareness of its medical device design and development expertise.

As its retained agency, EML Wildfire will promote Team’s full range of research and development capabilities across multiple medical sectors, in particular focusing on Team’s core focus of drug delivery, critical care, regenerative medicine and surgical equipment. EML Wildfire’s work will target decision makers and key influencers within the pharmaceutical and medical device sector.

Team Consulting is one of Cambridge’s well-established consultancies but is the only one purely focused on the medical sector. Team places a great emphasis on users, whether they are patients or healthcare professionals, and ensures that any of the devices that it develops are robust, safe, usable and appealing. As well as the underlying engineering and science, Team has also established an excellent reputation for design and human factors.

In the past 12 months, Team’s work has been recognised with a prestigious Red Dot Product Design Award for its work on Actegy Health’s flagship Revitive™ product, as well as being named Consultancy of the Year at the British Engineering Excellence Awards.

Neil Cooper, Head of Marketing at Team Consulting said: “For 26 years Team has been growing, building a solid reputation in the medical sector for first-rate design and development skills. Over the last few years we have seen a massive increase in demand for our particular services from organisations who want to innovate and push boundaries. We have a lot of valuable insight into the sector and we want to share and discuss these views with the wider world.

“EML Wildfire understood our unique culture and objectives instantly and the team’s knowledge and understanding will be crucial in supporting our efforts to take the company to the next level.”

Richard Parker, Managing Director of EML Wildfire, added: “Team has a genuinely compelling proposition with a combination of clever engineering and creative design to help its clients bring commercially successful products to market. Our experience and expertise means that as an agency we are perfectly positioned to promote Team and their visions to a broad audience. We will be working closely with Neil to generate interest and excitement around Team’s cutting edge work.”
