Gadget Show Live calls in Wildfire to broaden awareness for 2015 event

Posted on 12th November 2014 under New business

GSL_Birmingham2015London, UK – 12 November 2014: The UK’s largest technology show, Gadget Show Live has appointed technology PR agency, Wildfire PR (formerly EML Wildfire) to build awareness and drive footfall to its Birmingham-based event in April 2015.

Now in its 7th year, the Gadget Show Live is primarily a fun-packed five-day consumer event designed to appeal to the family audience as the first place to see, try and buy the latest gadgets in the UK. The key PR objective is to broaden awareness of the show in national, regional and specialist media to help meet visitor targets.

Through a combination of creative events that show off the personality of the Gadget Show, with a hard-working press office to target specific audience groups across the media spectrum from tech to lifestyle publications, Wildfire aims to boost media reach and social media buzz in the run up to the show, to peak at key ticket buying periods.

Sally Bent, Event Director of Gadget Show Live, commented: “It was clear to us the Wildfire team had plenty of enthusiasm for the show and this translated this into creative, quirky campaign planning that we felt would help directly engage our target audience. We already have an established brand but, now in our 7th year, we really want to see more people than ever attend the show. We are confident that by working with Wildfire we will really be able to up the ante in terms of our marketing and PR efforts.”

Debby Penton, Director at Wildfire, added: “While the Gadget Show Live is all about showcasing the latest tech we focused our planning on the fact that it is primarily a ‘family day out’. Through our understanding of the audience we designed light hearted, high impact campaigns designed to work across the media spectrum. We also kept a clear focus on ideas with a strong call to action that will motivate consumers to attend the show as well as broaden general awareness.”

This is the first new business ‘win’ for Wildfire PR since the agency rebranded from EML Wildfire in November of this year.
